AYSO divides the country for administrative purposes into 13 geographic Sections based on player population. Sections are further divided into Areas with Six in Section 12. Each Area supports and mentors a number of Regions, which is where players and parents sign up to participate in our programs.
Regions are defined by communities. In highly populated areas, regional territories will "touch" while in other parts of the country there may be several hundreds of miles between regions.
